March is Disabilities Awareness Month
In early summer, the Powerboat Squadron hosts boat rides on Lake Keowee and a picnic lunch. It is an exciting event and one the clients look forward each year.
Also in late spring or early summer, the Special Olympics games give the clients an opportunity to participate in activities with other special needs folks from the Upstate.
July is when an Independence Day Parade is followed by homemade ice cream.
October is when the Fall Carnival happens.
December brings the Annual Christmas Party, another event clients looked forward to with eagar anticipation.
After Hours Events
The After Hours Activities Program was carefully designed to provide an opportunity for the Tribble Center clients to attend events and activities in the community on evenings and on weekends. Trained staff and certified vehicles take them to events and activities of their choosing. That includes movies, dinners out, bowling, Carowinds, concerts, plays, the circus, local events, shopping, educational activities and so much more. There has even been an overnight trip to Dollywood.
For more information, call Rosanne Weber, After Hours Activities Coordinator (864) 885-6040 or you may call your Case Manager to fill out the After Hours Activities Referral.
