An Early Interventionist is a trained professional who works with the family to ensure the child is reaching his or her full potential. Early Intervention services provided in the home and throughout the community may include:
- Helping the family learn about the child's developmental milestones
- Providing learning activities to enhance the child's development
- Linking families to available services in the community and assisting the family in deciding which services are right for their child and family
- Transitioning the child into the school system.
